Give Your Bathroom A Fresh Summer Makeover

Master BathAs we transition from spring to summer, it is not uncommon to think of your bathroom décor as being just a little bit dated. You have been staring at the same walls and bathroom décor throughout the winter doldrums, so it’s normal to feel like your bathroom needs a bit of updating, but where do you start? Here we discuss some quick and easy projects that can help give your bathroom a fresh summer makeover without breaking the budget.

Freshen Up With New Curtains Or Towels

One of the quickest and easiest ways to give your bathroom a summer makeover is with bright collared towels, or curtains with bright summery floral prints. A new set of curtains can add bright colours to a normally bland window, or if you happen to not have a window in your bathroom, towels in bright colours can add just the right amount of colour needed to drag you out of the winter doldrums. Now this does not necessarily mean that you need to go out and replace all the towels in your linen closet, if you can’t afford it. You can easily update the look of your bathroom with a splash of summer colour in the guest towels that are always hanging on the towel rack. Design is all about what others see, and a few towels and new curtains can update your look in a snap.

Add A Touch Of Colour With Paint

If you are tired of staring at the same bland wall colouring, a can of paint in a bright summery colour can give your bathroom a fresh summer makeover, if you don’t mind putting in a little bit of work to accomplish it. Now this does not mean you need to pick the brightest colours out there. Colours like pale yellows, blues, and even pinks can add a touch of colour to your bathroom without being overwhelming. If you are unsure as to which colour will work best for your space, you can always get samples from your local store, and test them on the walls to see which one offers the right amount of colour for your space.

Bring Summer In With A Floral Bouquet

If the idea of painting your walls frightens you, or you don’t want to be tied down to a specific design because of your choices, another way to give your bathroom a summer makeover is by including a fresh floral bouquet on a counter or shelf. Flowers can brighten a room with little to no effort, and can easily be swapped out for new colours as the in season blooms change. If you don’t have the space for, or can’t afford fresh cut flowers, you can always make your own silk flower arrangement at your local craft store. Bouquets can also be mounted on a wall if there is no room for one on your counters.

These are just a few of the quick and easy projects that you can do to give your bathroom a fresh summer makeover. Regardless of the method you choose, the cheery style you create is sure to put a smile on your face for quite a long time.
